About this plan
Residents living in the Ennis Accommodation Centre have access to all local health services.
The HSE provides a range of services in Ennis including public health nursing, hospital services, mental health services, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, podiatry and dental services. People have have access to GP services through the GMS (medical card) and arrangements are being made locally by the HSE. The Department of Health and the HSE are working closely with the Department of Justice and Equality to ensure the delivery of services in the area.
The Department of Justice and Equality will cover travel costs for any residents that have to travel to access health services.
The HSE will keep under review the provision of local health resources in light of the arrival of the new residents in the community.
